NEW YORK-PRESBYTERIAN HOSPITAL - NURSES WEEK CELEBRATION EVENT
New York-Presbyterian, the Official Hospital of the New York Yankees, wanted to "own" National Nurses Week (a mostly unheralded event) in the hearts and minds of all New Yorkers. With the cooperation of Major League Baseball, the Yankees organization - and with the heartfelt support and appreciation of the entire hospital - a special center field celebration of nursing leaders took place right in front of the fans at a home game during Nurses Week.
The Yankees even kicked in tickets for nearly 100 lucky nurses...and all media, including the JumboTron, were donated, courtesy of MLB.
